TO REAFFIRM EARNINGS GUIDANCE


New York, New York – October 16, 2007 – Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation [NYSE:PVH] announced today that at its previously announced appearance at the Wachovia Consumer Conference at 8:30 am ET on October 17, 2007, Company management will reaffirm the Company’s earnings guidance provided on August 22, 2007 for the third quarter, fourth quarter and the full year 2007.  The webcast of the conference can be accessed by logging onto www.pvh.com and going to the “News Releases” page under the “Investor Relations” tab.
